Ox-Tales by Oxfam

These books caught my sight in Popular Bookstore today. They are short stories based on the elements Earth (agricultural development), Air (climate change), Fire (conflict resolution), and Water (water projects). Paperbacks were released July 2009.

I saw a dog at the temple in the afternoon. It looked very much like my late family pet, only a little friendlier :-)

Mother's right eye operation

It was mum's cataract operation today. We waited for an hour plus at the lounge since 7.20am till the surgery started. Everything seemed cool.





The surgery finished approximately 2 hours later. Mum was given a bowl of chicken congee to replenish her energy.

一早收音機就聽到有人大聲大聲喊著“恭喜恭喜”，因今天有556對新人在天后宮裡註冊結婚。沒錯，今天真是個難忘的日子啊！聽了億萬次“九九九但願人長久”！以前和現代的中國人都那麼愛玩吃字，愛講意頭。有時我想：開心就好！

這天，我陪媽咪去了Tun Hussein Onn National Eye Hospital。原本是因為她右眼皮的小腫瘤而到那裡。但醫生卻發現媽咪雙眼都有明顯的Cataract(白內障)跡像。經過一番測試，終於確定是白內障﹣應盡快醫治。聽說白內障手術是普遍的小手術。醫生更說二十分鐘可完成。後來，我們決定下星期五進行。醫生將會先把白內障醫治，再將腫瘤(papilloma)切除。希望一切順利。

p/s 千萬不可在THONEH對面馬路泊車。這醫院其實有個小停車場在很不顯眼的new wing那裡。今天也是我一生的第二次拿到違例泊車告票 :-(
