4.30am – Sunrise at Borobudur!

Complimentary morning tea at Manohara Hotel.
• Manohara Hotel is located in the Borobudur Heritage Site –only 5 minutes walk to Borobudur monument! However, it has only 30 rooms. Therefore, must book much much earlier to enjoy this privilege.

Yogyakarta Day 1

09.15 –right on time!

My MH meal came with 3x Ferrero Rocher ;-)

It was about 1.5hrs (or less) car ride from Adisutjipto International Airport to HOTEL RAJASA. It was actually a small backpacker hostel but with a cool view to the paddy field. The room was basic but decent.

...I spotted a shiny lizard
After a simple lunch at the hotel, we took a horse cart ride to Candi Pawon & Candi Mendut.
• horse cart: 60k Rupiah • Entry for both temples: 3k Rupiah

We then back to Rajasa Hotel. There was a good view of the 'Sleeping Buddha' hill configuration.

Not far from the hotel, there was a Tibetan Buddhist monestary, Graha Padmasambhava. The friendly staffs invited us to the building rooftop...
